Blocking a public street, alley or sidewalk requires a permit from the City of Peoria.

Lane/Sidewalk/Alley Closure Fees

Street - Primary Snow Routes
Up to 7 days  $100.00
For Each Day 8-180    $130.00  /lane/day

Street - All Other Streets/Off Snow Routes
Up to 7 days $100.00
For Each Day 8-180 $25.00 /lane/day

Alley
Up to 7 days $50.00
For Each Day 8-180 $10.00/day

Sidewalk
Up to 7 days $30.00
For Each Day 8-180 $3.00/day
(Sidewalk fee waived if adjacent street closure is permitted for the same day)

Note: Use of the parking lane alone, with no disruption of pedestrian or vehicular traffic, for reasons including but not limited to, the storage of equipment, dumpsters or portable storage units, is subject to a $20 fee for each 30 days.
