In 2006, City Council identified the Prospect Road Business District as a targeted development area.  In addition to the creation of the Prospect Road Form District, Council allocated $100,000 for a Façade Improvement Program.  This program is designed to help businesses in this area improve the visual appeal of their buildings.  Under this program, applicants will be reimbursed half of the total cost of their external improvements, up to a maximum award of $10,000.  Any commercially zoned or mixed-use building that faces Prospect Road between Forrest Hill and War Memorial can receive a grant (see Program Boundaries here).

Awnings and Canopies	Landscaping
Signs	Siding
