ITEM NO. 2           Communication from the City Manager and Director of Planning and Growth Management Requesting Approval of a RESOLUTION Approving the ANNEXATION AGREEMENT for Property Located North of HICKORY GROVE ROAD, South of CEDAR HILLS DRIVE, Along the East and West Sides of CLINE ROAD, Identified as Parcel Numbers 08-24-200-003, 08-24-400-001, and 09-19-100-002, all Located within One and One-Half Miles of the City of Peoria.

B.                 ORDINANCE Annexing Territory Contiguous to the City of Peoria Located  North of HICKORY GROVE ROAD, South of CEDAR HILLS DRIVE, Along the West Side of ILLINOIS ROUTE 40.

 

ITEM NO. 5           Communication from the City Manager and Director of Planning and Growth Management Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending APPENDIX B by REZONING Property Located at 12301 N. ROUTE 40 (Temporary Address) from the Present Class, Upon Annexation, R-3 (Single-Family Residential) District to a Class C-2 (Large Scale Commercial) District.

 

ITEM NO. 6     CONSIDERATION OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS BY OMNIBUS VOTE, for the City of Peoria, with Recommendations as Outlined:

A.                  Communication from the City Manager and Fire Chief Requesting Approval of the LOW BID of MOBILE CONCEPTS, in the Amount of $48,780.00, for the PURCHASE of a FIRE SAFE HOUSE.

 

B.                 Communication from the City Manager and Fire Chief Requesting Approval of a BID for the PURCHASE of a TECHNICAL RESCUE TEAM (TRT) TRAILER from FUNK TRAILER SALES, INC., in the Amount of $11,538.00.

 

C.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting to Concur with the Recommendation of the Selection Committee to CONTRACT with THE FARNSWORTH GROUP, INC. for the DESIGN of the SHERIDAN TRIANGLE BUSINESS DISTRICT ENHANCEMENT, from McClure Avenue to Hanssler Place, in an Amount Not to Exceed $188,350.00.  (Refer to Item 07-562)

 

D.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Concurrence in the CONTRACT AWARD by the Greater Peoria Sanitary District for the 2008 REPAIR and MODIFICATION of VARIOUS SANITARY SEWERS to J.C. DILLON, Inc., in the Amount of $64,481.55.

 

E.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Inspections Requesting Approval of the AGREEMENTS with BRIMFIELD, CHILLICOTHE, ELMWOOD, AND PRINCEVILLE for ANIMAL IMPOUNDMENT SERVICES, Charged at a Per Animal Rate, in the Combined Amount of $4,000.00, and Requesting Authorization for the City Manager to Enter Into the Agreements.

 

F.                  Communication from the City Manager and Director of Inspections Requesting Approval of the AGREEMENTS with BARTONVILLE, BELLEVUE, GLASFORD, HANNA CITY, NORWOOD, PEORIA HEIGHTS, AND WEST PEORIA for ANIMAL IMPOUNDMENT SERVICES, Charged at a Per Capita Rate, in the Combined Amount of $53,102.00, and Requesting Authorization for the City Manager to Enter Into the Agreements.

 

G.        Communication from the City Manager and Corporation Counsel Requesting Authorization for the City Manager to Execute an AGREEMENT with INSIGHT/COMCAST to EXTEND the CURRENT FRANCHISE AGREEMENT FOR UP TO 180 DAYS.

 

H.         Communication from the City Manager and Director of Finance/Comptroller Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending the City of Peoria Budget for FISCAL YEAR 2007 Relating to TWO FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) ASSISTANCE to FIREFIGHTERS GRANTS PROGRAM and WAL-MART'S COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE GRANT.

 

I.          Communication from the City Manager and Director of Finance/Comptroller Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending the City of Peoria Budget for FISCAL YEAR 2007 Relating to the LIBRARY GRANTS, GIFTS and MEMORIALS, in the Amount of $74,797.00.

 

J.         Communication from the City Manager and Director of Finance/Comptroller Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending the City of Peoria Budget for FISCAL YEAR 2007 Relating to the UNANTICIPATED MAJOR MECHANICAL BREAKDOWNS and DAMAGE of FIRE EQUIPMENT, the APPROPRIATION of ADDITIONAL REVENUES and EXPENDITURES for ASSET FORFEITURE and DUI 740 RESTRICTED REVENUES, and UNBUDGETED INCREASE in HEALTH BENEFIT COSTS.

 

K.         Communication from the City Manager and Director of Planning and Growth Management Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE LEVYING a TAX for FISCAL YEAR 2008 for the EAST BLUFF NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SPECIAL SERVICE AREA.

 

L.         Communication from the City Manager and Corporation Counsel Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending CHAPTERS 1 and 15 of the Code of the City of Peoria Adopting SMOKE FREE ILLINOIS ACT, 410 ILCS 82/1, et. seq.
