All matters listed under CONSENT AGENDA are considered to be routine and non-controversial by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion and one roll call vote.  There will not be separate discussion on these items.  If discussion is desired by a Citizen or Members of the Council, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and discussed immediately after approval of the Consent Agenda.  Citizens desiring discussion on any item listed under the CONSENT AGENDA should contact a Council Member or the City Clerk prior to the meeting and request that the item be removed for discussion.

ITEM NO. 2           CONSIDERATION OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS BY OMNIBUS  VOTE, for the City of Peoria, with Recommendations as Outlined:

 

A.                  NOTICE OF LAWSUIT on Behalf of JALAL N. ASAD Alleging that the City has Completed Improvements Along the Entire Boundary Line of his Property Located at 2009 W. Forrest Hill Avenue, Including Curbs and Sidewalks, which Resulted in the Need to Reconfigure the Building, Property, and Adjacent Parking Spaces.

 

B.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Approval to PURCHASE REPLACEMENT of a FIFTY-FIVE (55) FOOT COMPLETE BOOM for an ELECTRICAL BUCKET TRUCK from DRAKE & SCRUGGS, Not to Exceed the Amount of $55,000.00.

 

C.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Approval of the FINAL PAY ESTIMATE for PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: CHARTER OAK ROAD ROADWAY EXTENSION PROJECT - PHASE II; Estimate #14 & Final, in the Amount of $269,232.80. (7.50% Over Contract).

 

D.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Economic Development Requesting Authorization to ACCEPT THE OFFER from ROGER HEIM to PURCHASE a CITY-OWNED VACANT LOT Located at 2821 W. LINCOLN AVENUE, in the Amount of $300.00 Plus Closing Costs, and Requesting Authorization for the City Manager to Execute the Necessary Documents.

 

E.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Approval of a PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT with MAURER-STUTZ, INC. for the DESIGN of PARKING DECK REPAIR, in the Amount of $55,016.00 Including Reimbursables.

 

F.                  Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Approval of PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT for the DESIGN of the IMPROVEMENTS of COLUMBIA TERRACE from UNIVERSITY AVENUE to NORTH STREET with MAURER-STUTZ, INC., in an Amount Not to Exceed $121,200.00.

 

G.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Authorization for Staff to Submit the GRADE CROSSING PROJECT APPLICATION to the ILLINOIS COMMERCE COMMISSION'S GRADE CROSSING PROTECTION FUND for the PROPOSED GRADE SEPARATION Carrying Proposed Extension of Pioneer Parkway Over the Union Pacific Railroad Company's Track.

 

H.                 Communication from the City Manager and Finance Director/Comptroller Requesting the Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending the CITY OF PEORIA BUDGET for FISCAL YEAR 2006 Relating to the FINAL PAYMENT for the CHARTER OAK ROADWAY EXTENSION PROJECT PHASE II, in the Amount of $269,232.80.

 

I.                     Communication from the City Manager and Finance Director/Comptroller Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE Amending the CITY OF PEORIA BUDGET for FISCAL YEAR 2006 Relating to the ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S (IDOT) REIMBURSEMENT for I-74 RECONSTRUCTION Providing TWO ON-STREET PARKING SPACES, LIBRARY GRANTS, GIFTS and MEMORIALS, and HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT (HAVA) GRANT.

 

J.                   Communication from the City Manager and Director of Planning and Growth Management Recommending Adoption of an ORDINANCE Approving the FINAL PLAT of STONE GATE SECTION 1 SUBDIVISION (Part of the Previously Approved Preliminary Plat for Wilhelm Residential Subdivision), a Single-Family Residential Development Located East of Radnor Road, West of Allen Road, Along the North Side of Wilhelm Road.

 

K.                 Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE to VACATE the ENTIRE ALLEY Located in the BLOCK BOUNDED by MONROE STREET, BRYAN STREET, VACATED MADISON STREET, and SPALDING AVENUE.

 

L.                  Communication from the City Manager and Director of Public Works Requesting Adoption of an ORDINANCE to VACATE SHIPMAN STREET and GOODWIN STREET, Between R. B.
