PUBLIC HEARING Regarding the PROPOSED ANNEXATION of Property Located at 9801 N. ALLEN ROAD - To be held at City Hall, Council Chambers, 419  Fulton Street, Peoria, Illinois.

 

 

All matters listed under CONSENT AGENDA are considered to be routine and non-controversial by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion and one roll call vote.  There will not be separate discussion on these items.  If discussion is desired by a Citizen or Members of the Council, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and discussed immediately after approval of the Consent Agenda.  Citizens desiring discussion on any item listed under the CONSENT AGENDA should contact a Council Member or the City Clerk prior to the meeting and request that the item be removed for discussion.

A.                  NOTICE OF LAWSUIT on Behalf of JOHNNIE LEE SAVORY II for a Civil Rights Lawsuit Alleging he was Denied Due Process, Denial of Meaningful Access to Courts, Denial of the Opportunity to Show Actual Innocence, Denial of Access to Executive Clemency, Denial of Rights of Confrontation and Compulsory Process and Cruel and Unusual Punishment as a Result of Defendants Refusal to Release Physical Evidence for DNA Analysis, with Recommendation to Receive and File and Refer to the Legal Department.

MARTIN LUTHER KING CONNECTION to the WESTERN PROJECT ($130,000) and the WEST MAIN STREET FACADE PROGRAM ($50,000).

 

J.                   Communication from the City Manager and Interim Director of Economic Development Recommending Approval of a CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT Between the CITY OF PEORIA, COUNTY OF PEORIA and THE HEARTLAND PARTNERSHIP, in the Amount of $100.000.00 (City Share $50,000) Contingent Upon Approval by the Peoria County Board.

 

K.                 Communication from the City Manager and Human Resources Director Recommending Approval to Enter into a HEALTH CARE CONSULTANT SERVICES CONTRACT with GALLAGHER BENEFIT SERVICES, INC. for CONSULTING to the Joint Labor/Management Health Care Committee, in an Amount Not to Exceed $97,000.00 for a One-Year Contract Period.

 

L.                  Communication from the City Manager and Interim Director of Economic Development Recommending Approval of the SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT with ELIZABETH EHRLICH, in the Amount of $95,000.00 for Property Located within the MUSEUM PROJECT SITE.

 

M.                 Communication from the City Manager and Interim Director of Economic Development Recommending to Authorize the SETTLEMENT of a CLAIM, in the Amount of $75,000.00, for Personal Injuries by ELIZABETH E.
