Peoria Launches Groundbreaking "Don't Shoot" Initiative

February 12

 www.dontshootpeoria.com

Peoria has designed an extraordinary outreach effort to encourage maximum community involvement and support for implementing the National Network's group violence reduction strategy to reduce gun crimes in our community. With the U. S. Attorney's Office, the State's Attorney and our law enforcement community, we are placing a laser-like focus on those who commit crimes with guns in Peoria and its impact on all of us.

You can get involved by joining the city-wide reading of David Kennedy's book "Don't Shoot" which will have weekly radio show discussions led by Mayor Jim Ardis, County State’s Attorney Jerry Brady and United States Attorney Jim Lewis.
