It has been a privilege for me to serve on the Peoria City Council since 1999. Now in my second term as Mayor, I am confident that we will come out of this global recession in a position for strong growth. New census numbers validate that we’ve seen modest growth in Peoria during a very difficult time. I expect those numbers to continue climbing in the future.

We are fortunate to have the strong Medical Community, Caterpillar and other solid companies here to provide our citizens with strong head-of-household job opportunities. The Peoria Promise program is going to prove to be a strong Economic Development tool for us. The statement that Peoria’s number one priority is strong educational opportunities for our children speaks to our priorities as a community.
