Customer Service

In today’s economy, everyone is taking stock of their lives, their jobs, and their priorities to see how things measure up – going back to basics, if you will. The big things now seem insignificant, while the little things mean much more. We are all doing this on a personal level as well as on a professional level.

The City of Peoria is also taking stock not only of our financial picture, but also of our services. More specifically, we have chosen to re-evaluate our customer service. Good customer service is the basic ingredient to any successful business, local government included. While our economy is not quite as bruised as in other communities, we cannot rest on our laurels.

In our effort to redefine our basic services and ensure they are satisfactory, the City Council has specifically put focus on the City’s customer service efforts. In order to do so, a Customer Service Committee has been established consisting of employees from across the board – from every City department, regardless of size or purpose.

Communication is key. We cannot possibly know how we measure up to Peoria’s standards if we do not have constructive feedback. We want to know how we measure up…where we need to improve, where we have hit the mark and any other suggestions or comments you, our customer, may have to offer.

There are several ways in which you can participate in our Customer Service assessment. Customer Service displays have been placed in each and every City department. These displays contain a supply of postage-paid comment cards that you may complete and drop in the mail; you may respond through our "comment card" below or call our PeoriaCARES office at 309-494-2273.

Thank you, Peoria! We look forward to serving you to the best of our ability.
