The Greater Peoria Area Crime Stoppers holds an annual "Distinguish Citizen Service Award" dinner at the Par A Dice Hotel in East Peoria, IL.  This banquet honors citizens from Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties and is given to those citizens who have worked to improve the "quality of life" in their neighborhood or taken the initiative to assist their police department or another fellow citizen in an exemplary way.
