Renaissance Park was originally established as the “Peoria Medical and Technology District” by the Peoria City Council in 2003.  As part of that ordinance, a Commission was established to oversee the progress and development of the area.  This Commission is comprised of 9 members who represent the institutions, business and neighborhoods of Renaissance Park.  The current Commissioners are:

• Susan Wozniak  – OSF St. Francis Hospital
• Golda Ewalt (Secretary) – University East Neighborhood
• Dave Peters – West Main Business Association
• Tony Schierbeck – Methodist Medical Center
• Wayne Nowlan (Chair) – Columbia Terrace North Neighborhood
• Dr. John Engdahl - Bradley University
• Dr. Sarah Rusch - U of I College of Medicine
• Carole Hoke - Orchard Park Neighborhood Association
• Peoria NEXT - Vacant

The regular meeting of the Renaissance Park Commission is held on an as needed basis.  

In addition to its work as a group, the Commission also has formed four standing committees: Marketing, Homeownership, Public Safety, and Education.
