Scott Moore is the City Manager for the City of Peoria. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Southwest Texas State University.
Most recently, Mr. Moore was the Assistant City Manager of Wichita, Kansas, where he achieved numerous accomplishments during his tenure. As Assistant City Manager, he was responsible for various services including airports, parks and recreation, public works and transit, water and sewer, planning, environmental health, and central inspections. He served as Interim City Manager for Wichita and was responsible for 3,100 employees and a $500 million operating budget. Prior to working in Wichita, he served as City Administrator of Ellsworth, Kansas.
Mr. Moore has a proven record of community service and has achieved numerous honors throughout his career. He received the Citizen of the Year award from the Chamber of Commerce and was appointed to the Governor’s Rural Life Task Force. His community involvement includes the American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club, and lending his talents as a middle school basketball coach.
During his time away from City Hall, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports, and travel. His wife Tammy is a respiratory therapist, and also enjoys spending her free time volunteering.
Mr. Moore’s priorities for the City include focusing on the budget, improving neighborhood stabilization, strengthening community partnerships, and improving service delivery.
